Kathleen C. Baker, Founder & CEO

Kathleen C. Baker is the CEO of ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. (dba ABBTECH) an employment services firm. Kathleen, Robert Baker and Larry Brady founded the company in 1992. ABBTECH is a family owned and operated business headquartered in the Washington, DC area with offices in Landover, MD and Virginia Beach, VA. Mrs. Baker has over 30 years experience in the employment services industry supporting clients in identifying and hiring top talent.


Robert W. Baker, Founder & CFO

Bob came into the staffing business in 1972 after fifteen years in Engineering with; Westinghouse, IBM, Goddard Space Flight Center and Airtronics SWL. Bob worked for TAD Technical Services and in 1973 Bob was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the South East Region. Bob was instrumental in the overall expansion and growth of twenty offices. Bob left TAD in 1991 and started ABBTECH in 1992 with his wife, Kathleen, and Lawrence Brady. The year 2012 is a big year for Bob since it marks his 40 years in the staffing industry and it is ABBTECH’s 20th anniversary. Through Bob, Kathleen, and Larry’s dedication and leadership, ABBTECH has evolved as a national diversity staffing company with offices in Virginia, Virginia Beach, Maryland and North Carolina. ABBTECH continues to source, recruit and place top talent in Information Technology, Technical, Professional and Administrative disciplines to Fortune 500 companies and the federal government.

Lawrence M. Brady, Founder and COO

Lawrence Brady is Founder/Chief Operating Officer for ABBTECH Professional Resources. Mr. Brady founded ABBTECH along with Kathleen Baker and Robert Baker in April 1992. Mr. Brady possesses over thirty years of experience in the staffing industry. Prior to opening ABBTECH, Mr. Brady started as a Resume Clerk for a national staffing firm, and worked his way up to Sales Manager for the Washington, DC office within ten years. Mr. Brady established ABBTECH’s two GSA Schedules (IT Services (Schedule 70) & Temporary and Professional Services (TAPS). He has also served as ABBTECH’s Facility Security Officer (FSO). Mr. Brady is key in the development of most of ABBTECH’s accounts (Government and Commercial).


Threase A. Baker, President

Threase joined ABBTECH in 2001 and has more than twenty-five years’ of experience in all areas of the staffing industry with particular emphasis on corporate recruiting, executive placement and staff augmentation. Her customer focus includes both the government and private sector. Prior to her current role at ABBTECH, Threase worked as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System project manager which provided vital perspectives on the Information Technology (IT) industry and process.
Threase carries two staffing certifications: CSP (Certified Staffing Professional) and TSC (Technical Services Certification) both through the American Staffing Association.
